With the wild win yesterday against the Iolani Raiders (1-3), the Warriors put themselves in a three way tie for first with Punahou and St Louis.
Freshman, Javyn Pimental had his first start of his varsity career and despite wounding four batters, left the game after 3 1/3 innings with a 9-4 lead. Relievers Kamaha‘o Arita (2 2/3 innings) and Francis Gora (1 inning) were able to shut down the Raiders.
The big defensive play of the game came in the fourth inning when Gora, with one out, caught a fly ball to center field and gunned out the runner trying to score from second.
The Warriors continue to hit at will. The team was able to duplicate the game high 11 hits that they attained against Punahou. Leading the team were Logan Salcedo 3-4, 2b, 2 runs and Nakea Hanohano 2-3, 3b.
Leading hitters - Kawai Takemura 2b, 2 runs; Kalamaku Kuewa 2b, 3 RBIs; Dylan Salcedo 2 RBIs.
