The Warriors (8-2) beat the Maryknoll Spartans (1-9), 7 - 6 at CORP yesterday behind the pitching of J.Mahiai-Paleka (2 innings, 5 runs, 3 hits, 3 walks, 2 strikeouts) and K.Sauer (5 innings, 1 run, 4 hits, 0 walks, 6 strikeouts). Offensively, the Warriors left 10 runners on base, including five on third, but got key hits from M.Liberato, J.Pekelo, and J.Nakamura. Additionally, at the top of the 7th (last at bat), K.Shim bunted in J.Nakamura, and M.Katagiri scored from second on the same play to give the Warriors the needed run to outscore the Spartans. The Warriors will welcome the Punahou Buff and Blue to Maluna Field on Wednesday, 3/22/2017 at 4 p.m.
