Kamehameha Schools Kapālama Athletic Hall of Honor Nominations 2024

 

Induction into the Kamehameha Schools Kapālama Athletic Hall of Honor is the highest honor bestowed by the Kamehameha Schools Kapālama Athletic Department, honoring Warrior alumni & coaches whose accomplishments have brought prestige and honor to Kamehameha Schools. Kamehameha Schools Kapālama welcomes Hall of Honor nominations from our community of alumni, employees, and friends. All nominees to the Hall of Honor must be individuals of outstanding quality, high moral character, fine leadership qualities, and must be held in high esteem by their colleagues, coaches, and athletes. All nominations must fit the criteria of one of the two categories below. 

 

Blane Gaison and Tita Ahuna Named Honorees for the

2024 Kamehameha Kapalama Athletic Hall of Honor

 

The Kamehameha-Kapālama Athletic Hall of Honor proudly announces Blane Gaison and Tita Ahuna as this year's esteemed honorees. Recognized for their remarkable contributions to athletics both as players, coaches, and administrators, Gaison and Ahuna stand out as exemplars of excellence and leadership in the sporting arena.

Blane Gaison, a towering figure in Hawaii's athletic landscape, has left an indelible mark through his exceptional achievements on and off the field. From his stellar performances as a player to his influential roles as a coach and administrator, Gaison's dedication to sports has inspired generations. His unwavering commitment to fostering talent and promoting sportsmanship has truly enriched the athletic community in Hawaii.

Equally deserving of accolades, Tita Ahuna's illustrious career spans decades of unparalleled success. As a trailblazer in women's athletics, Ahuna's achievements as a player, coach, and mentor have reshaped the sporting landscape in Hawaii. Her passion for excellence and tireless advocacy for inclusivity have not only elevated the level of competition but also empowered countless individuals to pursue their athletic dreams.

Selected from a pool of highly esteemed nominees, Gaison and Ahuna emerged as shining beacons of excellence, embodying the values of dedication, perseverance, and sportsmanship. Their selection as this year's honorees underscores the depth of their impact and the esteem in which they are held within the sporting `ohana.
