Kamehameha Schools Kapālama Athletic Hall of Honor Nominations 2024
Induction into the Kamehameha Schools Kapālama Athletic Hall of Honor is the highest honor bestowed by the Kamehameha Schools Kapālama Athletic Department, honoring Warrior alumni & coaches whose accomplishments have brought prestige and honor to Kamehameha Schools. Kamehameha Schools Kapālama welcomes Hall of Honor nominations from our community of alumni, employees, and friends. All nominees to the Hall of Honor must be individuals of outstanding quality, high moral character, fine leadership qualities, and must be held in high esteem by their colleagues, coaches, and athletes. All nominations must fit the criteria of one of the two categories below.
Must be at least 5 years out of high school
Sports achievements: Significant accomplishments as athletes during their time at the school, such as state championships, records, or outstanding statistics.
Sportsmanship: Demonstrated sportsmanship, fair play, and respect for opponents and teammates.
Leadership: Leadership roles within their respective teams or in the broader athletic community.
Contributions to the program: Continued support or contributions to the school's athletic program, such as coaching, volunteering, or fundraising.
Character and Integrity: Exemplary character, integrity, and ethical conduct both during and after their athletic careers.
Impact on the Community: Positive impact on the school community, including involvement in community service, mentorship, or advocacy.
Must have coached for at least 5 seasons.
Coaching Achievements: Achievements and success as a coach, including championships, winning records, and development of athletes.
Longevity and Dedication: Years of service and dedication to the school's athletic program. Positive Influence:
Positive influence on athletes, emphasizing character development, discipline, and teamwork. Contributions to the Sport:
Contributions to the broader sport, such as involvement in coaching associations, clinics, or development programs.
Mentorship: Mentorship of athletes and other coaches, helping them grow as individuals and leaders. Sportsmanship: Encouraging sportsmanship and fair play among athletes and teams.
Nominations must be submitted in their entirety. Only complete nominations will be considered. All nominations must include detailed supporting information, which could include newspaper clippings, proof of awards, letters of support from others, etc. If you need assistance in compiling information about a nominee’s career, please contact the Athletics Office before submitting your nominations.
