Aloha mai kākou,

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide a world-class experience for our school community, our KSK Athletics department has developed a plan to make significant investments in some of our athletic facilities with work beginning as early as this summer.

In preparation for the fall, we are prioritizing Kekūhaupiʻo Gym and Kūnuiākea Stadium with improvement work currently underway to capitalize on the decreased usage during summer. We will be installing a new state-of-the-art scoreboard and shot clock in Kekūhaupiʻo Gym, and Kūnuiākea Stadium will undergo a track renovation as well as install a brand new digital scoreboard.

Committing to these improvements means we will have to close these facilities while construction takes place. The following schedule and timeline reflects the temporary hours of operation for both facilities:

• Kekūhaupiʻo Gym

  • Through July 31: Closed M-Th, 4:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

  • Aug. 1 - Sept. 25: Closed M-F, 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

• Kūnuiākea Stadium

  • Closed 24 hours, 7 days a week through Aug. 4
