National Athletic Training Month is observed every March to raise awareness of and provide information about the important work that athletic trainers do as critical health care professionals who collaborate with physicians and other allied health professionals to provide preventative care, emergency services, and rehabilitative oversight of injuries and medical conditions.
Reid Takano, a Kamehameha Kapālama athletic trainer and the president of the Hawaii Athletic Trainers Association appeared on KHON2 Wake Up 2day alongside Lyn Nakagawa, District Director of the Far West Athletic Trainers Association to share the importance of the athletic training profession.
